Sausage Rice

Know when your hungry but tired of eating the same foods all over again? That's what happened to me. I attacked my fridge and grabbed a bottle of sausages, leftover rice and some vegetables and ... tadah!

It tasted delicious! Didn't expect it to look so tasty on the photo ^^'

Ingredients:
  • Sausages
  • Rice
  • Carrot
  • Green Pepper
  • Green onion
  • Parsley
  • Cabbage
  • Soy Sauce

Slice everything ( please don't slice the rice ) and cook it on a frying pan for a while. When everything starts looking a little darker add the rice to the frying pan and a bit of soy sauce. Stir everything and it's ready for om nom nom, happy cookings! ^^

My Bit of Countryside

Went eyesterday to the countryside to visit family. Along the way we stopped to see how our portions of land, bugs and plants were unraveling. Everything was pretty much the same as the last time, except for the uncontrollable brambles that keep seizing everything. Without much to do, i had fun taking some photos.

Corn
Grapes
Weird ball, maybe it has some sort of pokemon inside
Pretty flowers
More pretty flowers
Burnt pine cone left from a fire some years ago

A Graveyard in the Middle of the Road

A graveyard located in the middle of a paved road was discovered in Okayama prefecture, pretty rare thing to see unh? According to the owner of the graveyard, it has existed for 200 years. The area around it used to be a farm field bordering on a narrow road, but about 50 years ago, the road was widened. It is a side road without much traffic, but the owner says that hasn’t stopped cars from accidentally bashing into the graves on a couple occasions ^^;

Ergo Proxy

Recently watched Ergo Proxy and it quickly went to the top of my all time favorite anime list. Ergo Proxy is a science fiction suspense anime that features cyberpunk, steampunk, and gothic elements, and focuses heavily on the psychology and mentality of its protagonists. It's just the type of anime that most tickles my fancy.

If you are not into the kind of anime that has a very intricate plot and requires a lot of attention and thinking from your part in order to understand it then you better of not even start watching it. I guess initially it may look like it's the kind that has a lot of action and cool fighting scenes but in reality most of it is quite calm and concentrates mainly in diverse philosophical themes, for example the phrase "Cogito, ergo sum" by René Descartes wich means "I think, therefore I am" is one of the most important, if whether machines are capable of thinking and feeling and what makes us what we are and also if we as free will creatures can change the destiny or are prisoners of it.

I found many making negative reviews about this anime exactly because of this, they expected something different from the path it was taking and ended up bored because they couldn't appreciate its magnificent concepts. It is true that at the beginning you will feel completely lost and thirsty for more information but you will eventually start understanding what's happening as the end approaches, you just have to pay attention and let your head slowly think about the many interesting things they will expose you too.

( Ophelia by John Everett Millais ) Does it look familiar to you? ^^
Trust me, in the end you will feel you have accomplished a lot and be proud of yourself for taking some time and really wonder about those things you usually ignore in your daily life and may also start having a different perspective about certain things. YES, an anime can do all of that and even more! ^^

In case you are having a hard time understanding or discovering some of the mysteries behind Ergo Proxy's history then this video will surely clarify you about everything ( at least it did to me, i have to admit i was surprised because there was soo much hidden information, who the hell would have though of it!? ) :

Have you seen Ergo Proxy? Like it? Hate it? Why?

Shiina Ringo

Recently came across some songs from Shiina Ringo and i was stunned! Her music style is like nothing i have ever heard from Japan. She's a rarity in the Japanese pop music scene, she’s a female artist who not only pens her own lyrics, plays instruments, and makes relatively uncommercial music, but she also doesn’t shill products or have back-up dancers. Whenever i ear it a mixture of sounds from different places invade my head. The Japanese culture influence is obvious but theres also such a vast influence from cultures all over the world. It's just amazing hearing all of them fusing into one.

"The Japanese music industry is notorious for controlling its artists and working them to death. It turns out girl group after girl group, releases single after single, and enforces a strict work schedule that ensures just the right amount of exposure to create a super star. Even Ayumi Hamasaki, reigning J-pop queen credited with controlling her image down to the font sizes on her promotional posters, solemnly told TIME Magazine that "It is necessary that I am viewed as a product. I am a product."

Then there's Shiina Ringo.
Shiina Ringo (椎名林檎) somehow steps around the industry archetypes. In fact, it's hard to say who Shiina Ringo is. We've seen her as a lost teenager going against the grain, a racy nurse with an interest in her female patients, a bride with a smile as bright as the pistol she holds to her head, even a jazz-hungry flapper. With a wink and a flash of skin, Shiina Ringo has proven to be many things, but it always comes down to her incredible music.

There is no way to classify Shiina Ringo's work other than that it is her own. She flits between and merges together genres in ways never thought possible, so much that she really has a genre all of her own. It doesn't matter if it's jazz, rock, or some bizarre combination of the two, she will make it work and you will like it. She experiments with her music and her voice; she whispers, rasps, coos, and screeches her way through playful lyrics and arrangements in a way only Shiina Ringo can.

In a Shiina Ringo song, the click of a lighter being switched off and on is just as harmonious as any traditional instrument, and when Shiina Ringo performs with an orchestra, the orchestra IS her rock band; it plays with the same audacious enthusiasm as any guitarist or drummer most would-be rock starlets would settle for, if not more so.

The only consistency in Shiina Ringo's career is her inconsistency as a constantly growing artiste. Even when she temporarily put her solo career on hold to front the Tokyo Incidents, she continued to shine on the music scene as a true innovator and entertainer. Now having reprised her role of solo artist, she is destined to do even greater things."

Dead Master Update

New photos of dead master figures on www.dannychoo.com. I really love the photos that Danny Choo takes, they are soo detailed and have just the right lightning, not that i'm some kind of specialist in photography, i just like it ^^ Someday i have to get one of those o soo cool cameras, this is when the time that i will be willing to give an arm and a leg for one comes ahah Anyway enough of talky talky, let's see the photos.

Figma Dead Master

( Photo from www.dannychoo.com )

Huum think i would prefer if the horns and the wings were all black instead of having that transparent touch. But i'm guessing maybe it's rubber or some kind of elastic material so that it doesn't break when hits something?

Nendoroid Dead Master

The nendoroid looks really cute. I love how it can be seen a little greenish color in her hair on all of the photos ^^ Are you planning on getting one of these figures?
